The International Longevity Risk and Capital Markets Solutions Conference September 8th and 9th 2011, Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Longevity risk is becoming more and more a topic of interest for providers of private or employee sponsored pension plans, due to the change in demographics and increasing life expectancies. The growing need to insure this risk is reflected in an ever rising demand for capital market products for the management of longevity risks. It has become relevant not just for life and reinsurance companies, but also for financial intermediaries, such as asset managers, investment banks, and exchanges, providing the essential products and channels to hedge the risk. The International Longevity Risk and Capital Markets Solutions Conference is the leading global forum of exchange on the topics of longevity risk management and product development. Each year, numerous renowned practitioners and academics confer about current topics and issues. The conference provides and important platform for the interchange of ideas and new developments in the field of longevity risk. This year the conference is co-organized by the Chair of Investment at the Goethe-University Frankfurt (Prof. Raimond Maurer) and the Pension Institute London (Prof. David Blake) and will be held on September 8th and 9th in the House of Finance, Goethe-University Frankfurt. All academics and practitioners, who are interested in attending, are warmly invited to join.
